When reporting an absence, please follow the procedures below:
1. Contact the Attendance line: 908-889-8288 Ext. 784.
2. Leave a message indicating your child's first and last name, grade, and reason for absence.
3. Upon returning to school, please have your child bring in a note verifying the absence.

UCVTS 2025 Summer Assignments
UCVTS summer assignments are developed to allow students to use the summer months to prepare for a successful school year. These assignments are most effective when completed over the course of several weeks and lose effectiveness when completed hastily. While assignments are required, UCVTS students are encouraged to see summer assignments as an opportunity rather than an obligation.
Assignments have been organized here to allow students to use the search feature (CTRL+F) to search for a specific course. Summer assignments for Spanish, mathematics, science and AP classes are developed at the district level while freshman, sophomore and junior English assignments are building specific. Other examples of school specific assignments are connected to the unique career and technical curriculum of our schools.
Included in the third column are supports and resources available to students. Schoolhouse.world is a resource students may wish to become familiar with as they prepare for mathematics and science courses or for the college admissions process. This platform provides opportunities for students to participate in study groups and receive support from certified peer tutors. It also provides opportunities for students to lead study groups as a peer tutor.
The summer months also provide students the opportunity to broaden their experiences through enrichment. To support that growth, enrichment opportunities have been included in an effort to support student development and personal wellness. Throughout the summer, ideas and opportunities for enrichment will be added.
